Tumwater Hill Elementary School
In May of 2018 Pease Construction contracted with the Tumwater School District for the Tumwater Hill Elementary project in Tumwater, Washington. The site work consists of adding decorative fencing in the courtyard to enhance security and control circulation; adding new site chain link fencing and gates; rebuilding the playground retaining wall and curb; providing a new service yard area for an emergency generator, transformer, gas meter and recycling/disposal; adding a new chiller and chiller enclosure; adding a new gas service; improving site storm drainage; demolishing the existing look-out tower; new site ramp and stairs, civil, and landscaping.
The building modernization work consists of Classroom Building and Support Building modernizations/upgrades/reconfigurations including the following: New entry vestibule addition, student restrooms reconfigured at each classroom pod to provide ADA staff toilets, replace existing urinals at boys’ restrooms with toilets; existing storage space reconfigured and reduced in size; upgrades and enhancements to interior finishes at Classroom Building and Support Building; upgrades and enhancements to MEP systems at the Classroom Building and Support Building; reconfiguration of administration; new mechanical platforms and a boiler room additions; new classroom building mechanical closet additions; a new multi-purpose room addition constructed under the existing covered play roof; Library Workroom reconfiguration; new timeout rooms; replacement of select gym equipment; new building signage, and replacement of most building casework.
